Why do you scrapbook?

This is a question that was asked of me recently.  Most I think assume that you scrapbook to capture all of lifes big grand moments - births, weddings, birthdays and holidays.  Yes, this is true however I enjoy scrapbooking the everyday events -
- kids chores
     - raking leaves
     - taking out the trash
     - homework time
- being us
    - the look my daughter gets on her face when she is really into reading her book
    - the level of concentration my son gets when playing a video game
    - dinner time
- Errands
     - They are a neccessary evil in our lives
          - Costco Trip
          - Grocery Store
          - Shoe shopping

You see we all tend to remember Grandmas 80th Birthday pretty well but it is the day to day things that we will want to look back on and our kids and grandkids will ask questions about.  I hope that some day when my kids are parents and their kids (gulp my grandkids) ask what was it like to grocery shop or do your homework when you were a kid they will pull out the scrapbooks and not only show their children but be able to re live the experience of being 10 and manually taking out the trash or feeding the dogs. ( since I am pretty sure we will have robots to do it for us by then, lol)  These are the moments I strive to capture along with life's grand events.

So I would also love to hear all about your reasons for scrapbooking? Please feel free to share or comment!
